History

Since 1958, Las Casuelas has been synonymous with authentic Mexican cuisine in Palm Springs and throughout Southern California. Family owned and operated, the first Las Casuelas restaurant was opened by Florencio and Maria Delgado on historic Palm Canyon Drive as a testament to their love for one-another and their love of cooking. After the opening of the original restaurant – which became widely known as the best Mexican food in Southern California – the Delgado family opened Las Casuelas Nuevas along Restaurant Row in Rancho Mirage, followed six years later by Las Casuelas Terraza, which is owned and operated by Patty Delgado Service in the loving tradition Florencio & Maria Delgado first personified with the initial Las Casuelas.

Now with sister restaurants in Palm Desert and La Quinta as well, Las Casuelas has grown into a four-generation tradition for the Delgado family…a tradition of pride, excellence and authenticity. Las Casuelas Terraza, with its traditional Mexican architecture, festive cantina and attentive staff, is itself a slice of history. Featuring a menu passed down through the Delgado family, Las Casuelas Terraza has always used only the freshest ingredients…andalways will.
